About Linkzoid, a backlink API for scripters

We sell link data by the call and nothing else. If your SEO work lives in a repo, this is built for you.

What we run

Linkzoid is a REST API with a free online explorer. It lets you find backlinks to a site and returns referring domains, anchor text, top pages and a 0-100 Domain Rating, as JSON.

The data comes from our own crawler and our own index: 181,132,097 domains, 2,774,625,913 domain-to-domain links and about 798.5 billion backlinks. We refresh it roughly once a month.

That cadence is a real limit. A link from last week may not be there yet, and we say so on every page where it matters.

Calls are small and cheap, and each response says what it cost. Most users never open the dashboard after the first week, because their scripts report the balance themselves. That is a good sign.

A short history of the idea

Link data used to mean a subscription and a login. Those tools are good, and many of us still pay for them. But a monthly export is a script-shaped job, and a seat licence is a poor price for it. Hence this.

So we put the index behind a plain endpoint and priced it per call. The first version had three actions. Today there are about twenty, from free overview lookups to intersect across ten domains and exact-anchor search.

We keep adding only what a script would call. Dashboards can wait.

How we write these pages

The guides are written by the Linkzoid editorial team and tested against our own API. Where an example uses invented numbers, it says so.

We do not publish customer quotes or case studies. We would rather show a script you can run, such as the weekly snapshot runbook or the prospecting recipe.

Questions go through the account page.

Who it is for

People who run SEO from a terminal. Freelancers with a crontab. Developers at small shops who were handed the link report because they know Python. Founders who would rather read JSON than click through a dashboard.

We built the pricing for that crowd: prepaid credit, from $0.10 per 1,000 calls, no subscription and no monthly minimum. A hobby project can run for a year on the starter credit.

Sign-in uses a Google account, and top-ups use USDT on TRC-20.

What we will not do

We will not promise rankings. Backlinks are one input among many, and Google weighs them in ways nobody outside it can see. We will not hide the monthly refresh, or call our DR something it is not.

We will not name where our data comes from beyond this: our own crawler, our own index. And we will say plainly when Ahrefs or Semrush are the better tool for your question.

If a page here is wrong, tell us.

Reaching us

Use the account page for billing, bugs and data questions. Include the action you called, the time, and the _credits block from the response if you have it.

Corrections to these pages go live once we have confirmed them. That is how we keep the guides honest, and it is the reason we ask for the exact call and time.

Thanks for reading, and for telling us what is wrong.
